KEEP THE DREAMING ALIVE
"WUNYUNGAR - MESSENGER" is the story of how Alwyn Doolan overcame addiction and identity delusion to complete the longest walk in modern Aboriginal history: over 8,500km through 50 First Nations from Cape York to Canberra via Tasmania. Walking with a message of healing for the Australian Government, he is named by his traditional Gooreng Gooreng elders as "Wunyungar" (Messenger). The three Message Sticks he created tell Australia's story in three stages: Creation, Colonisation and Healing. He foresees a future when black and white can walk side-by-side together, to restore their native homelands and create a New Dreaming, united as one. He found healing through reconnection to his culture, and now wishes to tell that story to the nation. When the Prime Minister rejects him, however, he feels disillusioned. It is only when Wunyungar turns his energy back towards his people that he is re-enlivened, discovers the secret to true change and inspires thousands.
