ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The First Nations Media Australia Annual General Meeting and Board elections will be online via Zoom on Thursday 23 June 2022 @ 2pm (CST) 2:30pm (EST) 12:30pm (WST).
AGM AND BOARD NOMINEE'S
Indigenous Remote Communications Association (ICN 4287) trading as First Nations Media Australia would like to advise of the following Board Nominees for the upcoming AGM.

The First Nations Media Australia Annual General Meeting and Board elections will be held virtually online on Thursday 23 June 2022.  We will send out the link prior to this date in preparation. All First Nations Media Australia members are welcome to attend the AGM.

Ordinary member representatives are eligible to vote. A full list of Ordinary member organisations eligible for voting can be viewed here. Download Proxy Form

Please note: As per the CATSI Act, Ordinary membership applications received and approved after the notice of the AGM was sent  will come into effect after the AGM, and therefore will not be eligible to vote at the AGM.

BOARD NOMINEES
Rohanna Angus
Rohanna Angus is a Bardi and Jawi woman from Ardyaloon Aboriginal Community, located in the Dampier Peninsula of Western Australia.

Rohanna started working for the Pilbara and Kimberley Aboriginal Media (PAKAM) in 2001 as an Administrator in Broome while also participating in broadcasting and video productions.  She then moved back to her community and started working as a PAKAM Remote Indigenous Broadcasting Service Operator.

In 2001, Rohanna was elected to sit on the Board as a Secretary for the Australian Indigenous Communication Australia, which gave her national recognition, especially coming from a Remote Aboriginal Community.  Rohanna was also a PAKAM Board Member for several years.

Rohanna has extensive skills, knowledge and experience working in the Media sector and Film industry, which has enhanced her personal and professional development.  She has also conducted workshops for the First Nations Media Australia Leadership Programs, News Stories for PAKAM and participated in National workshops such as FRAIM, National Indigenous Media Festivals and recently attended CONVERGE in Lismore.

As a representative for PAKAM, Rohanna will continue to mentor and support our Remote Aboriginal Communities on a National level.

The Board may invite other Directors if required to meet as many aspects of our skills matrix as possible. The maximum number of Board members is 9 people.
