Australia: Community Grants Program - Mary MacKillop Today

Australia: Community Grants Program

Inspired by Australia’s first Saint Mary MacKillop, we work in partnership to serve people and communities at the margins in Australia and beyond through education and learning for life.

Purpose of Grant

For over 20 years, the Community Grants Program has supported small but life-changing initiatives that provide opportunities for life-long learning in Australian communities.

It aims to reach those at the margins by improving equity in quality education, achieving economic independence and active community participation and engagement.

Given the size and nature of our grants, priority is given to small or emerging community-based organisations. We prioritise innovative and grass-roots projects that support those at the margins.

How it works

Eligible organisations may apply for grants of up to $10,000 AUD to deliver small, life-changing projects that promote life-long learning for people experiencing systemic injustice and challenges.
