About Wildlife Carnival

Wildlife Carnival is an annual celebration held on Kangaroo Island that highlights, educates and raises funds for our unique and wonderful wildlife. In 2020 we planned to celebrate the Glossy Black Cockatoo with an exciting line-up of mainland and local musicians, a panel discussion with global experts in wildlife protection, a makers market showcasing some of the Islands best artisans and the opportunity to consume the finest of Kangaroo Island food and beverage.

Unfortunately on the 3rd of January, after weeks of fires, our Island was brought to its knees by a fire storm that has burnt through a third of our Island. Our community needs now more than ever the opportunity to come together for each other, for our local businesses, for our wildlife, for some respite, healing and love. The devastation that is unfolding before us is far from over and the journey of rebuilding our community is going to be a long one. The set ticket price for this event has now been removed and entry is being offered via a donation to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Network.

Some important details about the event:
- Gates open at 3pm, welcome to country at 3:20pm.
- Wildlife Carnival is a family friendly event with free admittance for all children under 15 with a paying adult.
- We are working to minimise the environmental impact of this event and so it will be SINGLE USE PLASTIC FREE please BYO your own plate, cutlery and refillable water bottle.
- This is a SMOKE FREE event, please respect the risk of bush fire during this summer.
- There is NO BYO FOOD OR BEVERAGES. All profits from the sale of food, beverage and wine glasses will go towards the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Network and their ongoing education programs, including road safety brochures, which are now printed in multiple languages.

Wildlife Carnival 2020 Ticket Terms and Conditions:

- YOU MUST PRINT AND PRESENT THIS TICKET FOR SCANNING TO ALLOW ENTRY – each ticket is unique and will only scan once. It is your responsibility to keep this ticket safe. If the system shows your ticket as a duplicate it is invalid. Tickets will be exchanged at the gate for a wrist band, which must be worn at all times, if you are found without a wristband you will be removed from the event.
- The Wildlife Carnival is an all weather event. Ticket refunds will not be given due to poor weather prior to, during or after the Wildlife Carnival.
- While every attempt is made to present the programme as advertised, the programme may be subject to change without notice. No refunds will be given due to a change in programming.
- The Organisers fully reserve the right to refuse any Ticket Holder entry if they do not comply with these terms and conditions or the Organisers believe that the Ticket Holder would be a potential threat to security or the smooth running of the Wildlife Carnival. Refunds will not be given to those that have been refused entry.
- YOUR SAFETY IS OUR HIGHEST CONCERN, BUT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL TIMES. By purchasing this ticket you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and acknowledge that Wildlife Carnival and its organisers and sponsors are not liable for personal injury, loss, damage or death resulting from attendance at Wildlife Carnival 2020.
- NO BYO ALCOHOL – Wildlife Carnival is a licensed event. Security will be on-site and we hold the right confiscate or hold alcohol being brought onto the site.
- Ticket Holders consent to being included in any photography, film and/or sound recordings at the event, and grant the right to this information being used by us or by third parties associated with Wildlife Carnival for future marketing or promotional purposes.
